Fractional Safety Retainer
KP2 acts as your part-time safety director: written program, documents, training content, unlimited project AHAs, and — on the higher plans — real site visitations and inspections.

What this is
You are not hiring a full-time safety employee, and you are not buying a one-time binder that goes stale. On a monthly retainer, Paul owns the ongoing safety work with you: the program, the paperwork general contractors and insurance companies ask for, training content for your crews, project-specific Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and field inspections on the plans that include them.
Included on every plan
Unlimited project-specific AHAs
When a job needs an AHA, you send project details and KP2 builds personalized OSHA 1926 and/or EM 385 AHAs for that work. While the retainer is active, you are not charged the normal per-title shop price. “Unlimited” means for your company’s active projects — not for resale to other contractors.
Safety document writing
Written programs, SOPs, toolbox talk content, and supporting documents for GCs, owners, and insurance / risk contacts — the paperwork that keeps the program real.
Named owner + business-hours access
You work with Paul Shoemaker directly. Call or email during normal business hours for program questions and document needs.
Foundation — $1,995 / month
Best for: Lean shops that need program ownership and paperwork first, before regular on-site inspections.
$1,995 per month
- Remote-first fractional oversight — Paul keeps a clear list of what is done, what is open, and what is next.
- Core written safety program built and maintained for the trades you actually run.
- One monthly check-in by call or video.
- Monthly written toolbox talk pack your supervisors can deliver.
- Documentation pack ready when a GC or insurance company asks for your safety materials.
- Everything in “Included on every plan” (unlimited AHAs + document writing).
Regular monthly site visitations and inspections are not included at Foundation. Occasional one-off visits can be quoted, or you can move up a tier.
Field Partner — $2,995 / month
Best for: Shops that want the program and Paul in the field enough to catch issues before a GC or carrier visit does.
$2,995 per month
- Everything in Foundation.
- Two site visitations and inspections per month. Paul comes to a jobsite or shop you designate, walks the work, and documents findings. This is not sold as a “half-day” time box — it is a proper visitation and inspection for that site.
- Crew coaching tied to what was found, so issues are less likely to repeat.
- One instructor-led topic training session per month (remote, or on-site when it lines up with a visit), in addition to the written toolbox pack.
What “bid / prequal safety help” means
This is not KP2 writing your construction bid price or estimating the job.
Many general contractors and owners require prequalification before (or while) you bid: they want proof you have a real safety program before they let you on site. That often means questionnaires, your written program, training information, sample hazard-analysis approach, and uploads into contractor portals.
Bid / prequal safety support means Paul helps you assemble and update that safety paperwork package so you look organized and credible when a GC or owner asks for it — at a reasonable volume each month.
Embedded — $3,995 / month
Best for: Multi-crew or higher-risk work where KP2 is the default safety lead.
$3,995 per month
- Everything in Field Partner (including bid / prequal safety help as explained above).
- Four site visitations and inspections per month — same inspection standard, more coverage across your active work.
- Priority response when an audit, GC, or insurance contact suddenly needs documents or answers during business hours.
- Incident documentation lead — Paul leads the investigation framework and written report after an incident or serious near-miss. This is structured follow-through, not a 24/7 emergency dispatch promise.
- Quarterly management review with the owner or leadership to reset priorities for the next 90 days.
How a site visitation and inspection works
- You tell KP2 which site or shop needs attention that month.
- Paul schedules the visitation with you.
- On site, he inspects conditions and work practices and records findings.
- You get clear findings and coaching — not a vague “looked fine” message.
- Open items roll into the monthly check-in so they get closed.
