What Is in Each Talk
Every talk uses the same two-page layout, so your crew knows where to look each week.
- 60-Second Version. Short on time? Read the box out loud.
- Why It Matters. Two facts with the rule behind them, plus a field scenario.
- Stop. Look. Ask. The hazards, the do's and don'ts, and 3 crew questions.
- Big 3. Three takeaways to remember.
- What Would You Do? A real choice, with the foreman's answer.
- Close Call of the Week. Room to write down a near miss from your site.
- Quick Check. A 5-question tear-off quiz with an answer key.
- Sign-In and References. A 15-line attendee roster and the OSHA and EM 385-1-1 citations.
Each talk also has blanks for date, presenter, and project, and body text is 12 pt so it reads well printed. The pack includes a cover and index that walks a foreman through running a talk in about 10 to 15 minutes. Planning a task before the talk? See how to write an AHA and the RAC matrix explained.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which standards do the talks cite?
Each talk lists its references at the bottom of page 2. Most cite 29 CFR 1926 sections, and every talk also cites the matching EM 385-1-1 (15 March 2024) paragraphs, so the same talk works on commercial jobs and on USACE and other federal jobs. A few talks, such as heat illness and safe lifting, also cite the OSH Act General Duty Clause.
What file formats do I get?
A ZIP with a PDF and an editable Word (.docx) file for all 52 talks, plus the cover and index, which explains how to run a talk in about 10 to 15 minutes. The ZIP also includes a README.txt with quick start notes on where to begin and what is in the PDF and Word folders.
How does the Branded version work?
After checkout you can upload your logo (PNG or JPG) and enter your company name. We rebuild all 52 talks and the cover with your logo and company name in the header and email you the ZIP within 1 business day. Both are optional; if you skip them, you get the same talks as the Standard version.
Is it included with fractional safety plans?
Yes. KP2 fractional safety clients get the Branded version, with their logo and company name on every talk, free on every plan, Foundation included. See the fractional safety page for plan details.
Do the talks have to be given in order?
No. The week numbers follow the work year (Focus Four first, cold weather in winter, heat in summer), but any talk can be given in any week.
Is this pack specific to one trade?
No. It covers general construction hazards for any crew. Trade-only topics such as steel erection, roofing, and demolition are not included.
Can I share the pack or get a refund?
You can use the pack within your own company and its job sites. Resale or redistribution is not allowed. Because it is a digital download, there are no refunds, but we fix errors and replace defective files.
Do these talks replace required training?
No. Toolbox talks support your safety program. They do not replace training a standard requires, a competent person, or your site-specific plans. Your state may have added rules.
