Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about OSHA compliance, jobsite audits, pricing, service areas, and working with KP2 Safety Consulting.

General Questions

What does a safety consultant do?

A safety consultant evaluates your workplace for hazards, helps create compliant written programs, trains your team, conducts inspections, and guides you through OSHA requirements—all tailored to your trade and operation.

How is KP2 different from a national firm?

You work directly with Paul Shoemaker and the KP2 team. There are no rotating representatives, call-center handoffs, or generic packages designed for corporate clients.

Can KP2 help after an OSHA citation?

Yes. KP2 can help review the citation, organize corrective actions, prepare abatement documentation, and support informal conference preparation and future inspection readiness.

Can you prepare safety documentation?

Yes. We prepare customized safety manuals, written programs, activity hazard analyses, site-specific safety plans, inspection reports, orientations, and other project documentation.

How much does safety consulting cost?

Pricing depends on company size, scope, travel, documentation needs, and service frequency. Every engagement begins with a free consultation followed by a clear proposal.

Do you provide on-site and virtual support?

Yes. Site audits, inspections, and many training sessions are delivered in person. Document reviews, planning, follow-up, and certain consultations can be completed virtually.

What region does KP2 serve?

KP2 primarily serves Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Contact us about projects near the service region.

What company sizes do you work with?

KP2 specializes in small and midsize contractors that need professional safety support without the cost of a full-time safety department.

Will Paul personally work with my company?

Paul is personally involved in each client engagement. He may lead the work directly or oversee support while remaining your primary point of contact.

How quickly will you respond?

KP2 normally responds within one business day and provides same-day callbacks whenever possible for urgent contractor needs.
